Project Materia is an independent annual project, founded and operated by Tableau CPH (Julius Iversen) and Edition Solenne (Nicki Friis Willumsen). Each edition invites a group of internationally renowned artists to engage with a chosen material as both medium and subject. The inaugural edition in 2025 considered the weight of history through bronze, marble and glass. The 2026 edition, Project Materia × Mater, asks what happens when a circular material is placed at the same table.
Tableau is the Copenhagen-based gallery and creative studio bridging contemporary art, design and floral practice. Julius leads its programming and collaborations with international artists.
