For collectors

Collector's Guide.

A plain-spoken guide to collecting from Project Materia - written for first-time and seasoned collectors alike. If a question isn't answered here, speak with a specialist.

01

What you are collecting.

Every object on Project Materia is a limited or one-of-a-kind work, commissioned for a specific edition of the project. The 2026 cohort works in Matek, Mater's circular composite of coffee husks, sawdust and recycled e-waste plastic. The 2025 inaugural edition was anchored in bronze, marble and glass.

Editions are intentionally small. When a piece sells out, the artist moves on - the work is closed.

02

Provenance and Certificate of Authenticity.

Every work ships with a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording artist, title, year, materials, dimensions and edition number. The certificate is registered to you as the original collector and travels with the work if you ever resell it.

Premieres are documented - 2026 works debut at 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen and tour through Paris and London. The exhibition history is part of the piece.

03

Pricing, payment and VAT.

Prices are shown VAT included for EU buyers and net of VAT for markets outside the EU. The correct rate is applied at checkout based on your shipping address.

For pieces under €2,000 you can add to cart and pay by card. For mid- and higher-value works we recommend speaking with a specialist - we can arrange bank transfer, invoice, or staged payment for commissioned work.

04

Shipping, lead time and delivery.

Most works are made to order. Standard lead time is around six months for 2026 commissions, around four weeks for glass, and around six months for one-off pieces - express production is available on selected works for a surcharge.

We ship worldwide. EU orders are delivered DDP (duties and taxes paid). Orders outside the EU ship DAP - the courier handles customs clearance and collects any local import duties or taxes before delivery. Larger and crated works are quoted individually and may include white-glove delivery and installation.

05

Care, living with, and resale.

Each work ships with a care card specific to its materials. Matek is dense and durable but, like stone, prefers neutral cleaners and a soft cloth. Bronze develops its patina over time - this is part of the work, not a defect.

If you ever decide to part with a piece, we are happy to introduce the work back to our collector network. Reach out before listing publicly.

06

Who you are buying from.

Project Materia is the curatorial program and exhibition. The seller of record on each invoice is Tableau CPH or Edition Solenne, acting on behalf of the artist's studio. Your contract, support and after-sales service sit with the named seller.
